A residential lease agreement is one of the more common contracts found in real estate. In this agreement, two parties, a landlord and a tenant, sign a contract that allows the tenant to live in the residential property while making payments to the landlord.
This contract should include specific details about the agreement. This includes how long the contract is for, what monthly payment the tenant must make, when the payments are due, and what repairs or upkeep the tenant in responsible for. Identifying information for each party should be included, as well as the address for the residential property. Both parties should keep a copy of the contract for at least as long as the lease is valid.
