Td F 90 221: What Is It?

This form will be used by the United States Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service. The TD-F-90-22.1 form is known as a Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts. If you have a financial interest or signature authority in a foreign bank or financial account, then you will need to fill out one of these forms each year for tax reporting and filing purposes.

This form is separate from your yearly income tax return, but it will require much of the same information. You will need to include your personal information so that you can be identified by the IRS. This includes your taxpayer identification number, such as your social security number. You will then need to list the financial amount of the assets you have in your foreign bank accounts. Be sure you complete these form before the deadline to avoid fees.
