A TD-1X form is used by the Canada Revenue Agency in order to help individuals file their federal and provincial or territorial taxes. The form is known as a Statement of Commission Income and Expenses for Payroll Tax Deductions. Employers will need to use this form in order to determine the correct deduction amount for their employees.
This form must be completed for employees who receive any income that is commission based. It should be completed by January 31, or within a month of being hired. The form will require personal information about the employee as well as estimated information about their commission income and general salary. This form must be signed in order to verify that it is accurate before it can be submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency.
