The DA Form 5501 will be used by the Department of the Army for new recruits and existing members of the Armed Forces. It is known as a Body Fat Content Worksheet. This particular body fat sheet will be used for females. It has different requirements then the sheet for males.
In order to join the Army or remain in the Army, a person must be in good physical condition and health. This means that must have an appropriate level of body fat. To calculate the body fat, this sheet is used. It will list the measurements of the individual, including neck, waist, and hips. These measurements are then used to calculate the body fat percentage. It must be within a certain range that is acceptable, not overweight or underweight.
